Hawaiian KOA Wood Flute (Key of F#) - READY FOR PURCHASE

We have just finished this new flute tuned to the Key of F#, made from Hawaiian Koa wood. This piece of wood was left over from a project that was done more than 30 years ago and the piece is much much older than that. This is a very nice flute with 3 Hematite colors cabochons inset down the top of the flute. This five hole flute is 24# in length and as a tapered bore. Completely made by hand this flute will be available for shipping within a week.

The fetish has been selected for this flute and it was crafted from another piece of Koa and it is in the style of our Antelope/Elk fetish. The entire flute was crafted with Koa and it has a wonderful warm sound. This flute was hand finished with a minimum of 12-15 light coats of finished and then hand rubbed. During the tuning of this flute we found it to be very forgiving and able to handle a large range of wind pressures.

During the shaping of this flute we found a small imperfection within the wood that we were not able to detect prior to shaping. It is a small air pocket that is close to the mouth piece but we do not think it detracts in any way from the instrument.
